Vision: The Four Pillars of Transformation

Vision

In this article, we invite you to consider a new vision for cancer.. to see through the eyes of the empowered self that resides within all of us. To hold the highest vision for healing, not from a place of naivety; but out of the deepest love our hearts know is possible. For just a moment, allow your fears to take a back seat and let’s explore the lesser-known story of cancer. This is the first of four Pillars of Transformation: Vision.

“Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized” - The Kybalion

We’re often most afraid of that which we do not understand, and the story of cancer that has been told to us leaves many questions unanswered. Today, approximately 1 in 2 people in the Western world will experience cancer in their lifetimes: an astronomical rate the world has never seen before. Yet we seldom take the time to ask the most fundamental question: why? Without taking a single conscious breath, we rush to act from a state of fear. We desperately cling to feelings of ‘hope’, but implicit in the word is the seed of doubt. We’re hoping that the same random chance we think brought about the cancer, will also make it go away. Beyond that, there is not much else we can do. The oncologist may even say to you, “keep doing exactly what you’ve been doing and hope for the best.”

This is what disempowerment looks like. And it is the exact opposite full body feeling of the many who managed to survive their stage 4 cancers against all odds. Empowerment is derived from wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom and knowledge are attained by opening our minds and hearts to allow for more attention and inquiry into that which we desire. In this spirit, we ask the following questions:

  1. What is cancer?
  2. What are the known root causes of cancer?
  3. Considering the known root causes, why do you think you may’ve got your cancer?
  4. What have others been doing to heal themselves of similar (and even more severe) cancers to yours?

It’s questions like these that start to pull at the root thread of the matter. Understanding the root of any problem is the key to knowing how to appropriately respond to it. Contrary to popular belief, cancer is not your enemy. When we label anything in life as the enemy, we create a resistant energy and deny ourselves from understanding perspectives other than our own. Instead of going to war against something we do not even understand, let us put down our arms and open our hearts to the humility behind the question: why? It turns out there are a lot of good answers to that question that go beyond genetics or randomness; and that’s very good news

So what's the good news?

We have forgotten that the default state of any organism on this planet is health. When you are living in alignment with your true nature, as any animal naturally does, you do not have to try to be healthy like humans do. You just are. The body in its infinite intelligence is constantly trying to bring itself towards optimal health 24/7 from the moment you were born. Yet despite all our advances in modern medicine, we’re living longer on the one hand, but dying longer with multiple chronic illnesses at younger ages than ever before. When someone is diagnosed with a disease, there is a literal dis-ease within the body, mind and spirit of that organism. In the case of cancer, the incredibly intelligent systems which deal with cancerous cells all our lives have reached a state of overwhelm and can no longer stay on top of their routine duties. Thus, a tumor is formed as a last-ditch adaptation to an unsustainable environment. To put it another way, cancer is a wake-up call for us to evolve beyond our unsustainable ways of life. It is a feature of the human design, not a defect.

If cancer is the ultimate manifestation of dis-ease in the body, mind and spirit, then it is no wonder why it is so prevalent today. Many of us are living incredibly busy, yet empty lives. We make endless sacrifices to our happiness in the rat race of society. We put up with relationships and circumstances that are not in true alignment with our heart’s desires. We’re constantly judging ourselves and others based on beliefs that were never ours to begin with, further isolating us from the deep connection we need. Our cup is empty and our soul is starving, so we eat quick, low vibration food to try and fill the void. We engage in compulsory bad habits and mindless entertainment that leave us perpetually unsatisfied. We harbor deep traumas and unprocessed emotions, creating a constant state of dysregulation in our nervous system. We’ve become physically more stagnant and less in touch with activities that truly light us up. When we look at the state of the world, the beliefs we harbor about politics, war, the environment, etc create a perpetual state of tension and anxiety.

When you really take a step back and assess the state of joy, peace and happiness in our lives, 1 out of every 2 people starts to make more sense.

But for so many who managed to survive their cancer against all odds, the shock of their diagnosis was enough to be the wake up call they didn’t know they needed. They were finally given the permission slip to stop everything they’ve been so busy doing, and for once focus inward on themselves. With the right guidance and direction, this is where the shedding of old habits, old ways of thinking, and old relationships starts to take place. Letting go of that which no longer serves is what liberates energy to explore new ways of healing the body. They discover there exists a whole world of “alternative” healers and remote healing centers that has been treating the root causes of advanced disease for thousands of years. As one personal discovery leads to another, they start to feel like they’re in control of their health again, perhaps for the first time in their lives; and that’s when radical transformation becomes possible.

If you look at the state of our world today, we are all in need of such transformation. What we see on the outside is a reflection of that which resides within. The greater the effect, the greater the cause; but at the same time, the greater the potential that lies on the other side of transformation. With new eyes, we are able to glimpse the blessing that lies within the curse, rather than feel helpless. It’s why many who survive their advanced cancers against all odds say they are the healthiest they’ve ever been in their life.

This is not about survival. We do not advocate waring against cancer to avoid death. It’s life that we ask to take center stage in your journey. Rather than having your vision guided by what you’re trying to avoid, instead get in touch with that which you most desire. What is your reason for living? How in love are you with being alive right now? What are you grateful for in your life? If it’s difficult to tune into the feeling of gratitude in your life, then it’s worth addressing the areas that keep you from feeling the love. These are the questions that help focus in on what you want. Then only will you be pulled forward by your vision instead of shoved unwillingly by your pain. To see your cancer with such eyes, is the art of love, and that is the place from which we invite you to journey with us.

Belief is the 3rd pillar of transformation. The typical belief system that surrounds cancer is quite grim and disempowering. You may take extra efforts to improve your health, but if your belief is not truly behind the actions you take, you won’t maximize your potential...
The fourth and final Pillar of Transformation has to do with commitment to what you are setting out to do. When you become empowered by what needs to be done, and have belief that is in alignment with a higher vision of what is possible, what remains is executing on the steps required.
As we continue diving into the Four Pillars of Transformation, we come to the 2nd pillar: Empowerment. In Vision, we talked about how empowerment comes from knowledge and wisdom. When you attain wisdom and knowledge, you demystify what cancer is and how to help the body heal itself.
